On Wednesday, September 21,2011, the Most Reverend Henry J. Mansell visited the newly formed St. Francis-St.Hedwig School. Many pastoral dignitaries, archdiocesan leaders, town officials, and school board representatives joined in the celebration. The ceremony began with a Mass, followed by the Blessing of the School and concluding with the delivering of proclamations and gifts to the school and the Archbishop. Immediately following the ceremony, light refreshments were served.

Sunday, January 29th- St. Francis- St. Hedwig School will be holding a Scholastic Book Fair and Bake Sale in the Church Hall after all masses. Be sure to stop by to feed your mind and your belly and to support our school. We hope to see you there!
Monday, January 30- Book Fair Preview Day
All classes will be scheduled to come to the book fair to see what books are available and students will be able to write their wish lists to bring home. A register will be set up for any sales if students wish to bring money.
Tuesday, January 31 & Wednesday, February 1- Shopping Days
Classes will be scheduled to come to the book fair. Students may return to the fair with their wish lists and money to purchase any books they are interested in.
Virtus Trained Volunteers are needed for all days. Please email Kendra Tompkins if you are able to assist. The book fair will be open during school hours as well as after school to allow for additional shopping should you wish to accompany the children.

Ecumenical Food Bank
In the month of December 2011, St. Francis – St. Hedwig School collected 20 boxes of groceries from our school families to donate to the local Ecumenical Food Bank. The value was approximately $500. Great job to all our families for supporting this effort!
